Another feature available within the BI suite is to create a storyboard. A storyboard is much like a presentation which includes a number of different reports, pictures and text/data. You can present live data and charts straight from the BI suite. You can share your storyboard with other users and allow users to add comments. You can include slides, charts, data as required.

To create a Storyboard click on Dashboard> Storyboard.

Once you have created your Storyboard and given it a name, you can select the slides button on the right hand side to start adding to it. You can then add the information you want to that slide. As you can see below I have added some text and a chart. You can edit the slide by clicking slide where you can edit the current slide you are on in settings OR you can add a new slide. You can do things such as add/view comments, subscribe to new comments and add slide notes to the Storyboard.

Once you are satisfied, click on the storyboard button and then click save. You will be given the option to name your Storyboard and give it a description so that you and other users know what the Storyboard relates to. You will also need to make sure the Storyboard is saved to the correct folder (this may be general reports, sales, parts etc.). Finally, you need to activate it. If you want to save the changes you have made but not make it active you can save it as a draft. If you hit cancel, this will discard all changes that have been made.

Once you have saved your storyboard you can present it. You can navigate through the slides by using the left right arrows on your keyboard OR by using the slider and the bottom of the screen. You can also edit, share and export this storyboard to other users. Slide notes are also available by clicking the red marker as well as comments that other users have added, you can even mark them as “insightful”.
