To gain access to the BI suite you need to log into Voicesafe. Every user on Voicesafe that has the BI suite activated will see a “BI Suite” button on their navigation panel. If you click on this it will take you directly to your BI Suite.
On initial log in you will be presented with the default dashboards. These are one’s we have created as a guide and have some reports that you might find helpful. You may find that you want to create your own Dashboard with reports that are relevant to you.If you don’t want to create a dashboard you don’t have to, you can just create individual reports. The following steps will show you how to create a dashboard.
As displayed in the below screen shot, select CreateàDashboard TabàSelect the type of dashboard you want
Tab Type |
Description |
Standard |
These tabs have the broadest range of functionality available to them, including linked filters and series. The only reason you would not use a Standard Tab when creating a new tab is if you wanted to include a KPI Report. |
KPI |
This tab type is only used if you want to include KPI Reports. The reason this is a separate type is that some functionality is incompatible with KPI Reports, so the tab disables the likes of filters and linked series. |
Pre-Built |
This is a tab that has been created by a user and is not currently displayed on your dashboard. This does not involve creating a new tab, just selecting an existing one to be displayed. |
Once you have selected the type of dashboard you want to create you can add reports to it by clicking on the reports folder which can be found on the left hand side navigation panel. You can either scroll down the available reports OR use the search bar to search for a report by name. You can then drag and drop the relevant report into your chosen space. You can position reports into any particular order. You can also change the layout of your dashboard by clicking the Dashboard Layout button.
Once you are satisfied with your dashboard hit save and you will be given the option to name your dashboard and give it a description so that you and other users know what the dashboard displays. You will also need to make sure the dashboard is saved to the correct folder (this may be general reports, sales, parts etc.) You will need to choose if this dashboard will be private or public(see table below). Finally, you need to activate the dashboard. If you want to save the changes you have made but not make it active you can save it as a draft or if you hit cancel this will discard any changes that have been made.
Type |
Description |
Public |
If you save a dashboard as public this means that other users can search for, view and utilise your dashboard/report |
Private |
If you save a dashboard as private this means that other users cannot search for, view or utilise your dashboard/report |
Once you have finished, your dashboard will appear with your other dashboard tabs. If you click on the arrow to the right, you will find additional options for your dashboard.
