Putting the Voicesafe in bypass mode is fairly straight forward however be aware when you switch to bypass mode any calls going through the Voicesafe at that time will be cut off, also there have been occasions where a reboot of the phone system is required.


There are two methods to place the Voicesafe in bypass you can do it physically from the OpenVOX unit or from the web interface. The web interface guide is located within the Voicesafe Software and Interface FAQ  solutions sections. The web interface allows for you to schedule a time for the Vociesafe to be removed and also means you do not have to leave your desk saving on shoe leather.


Flicking the Switch


First locate the switch on the right hand side of the OpenVox as highlighted below. You will need to flick this switch to the opposite position at which point you will hear a light buzz to indicate that the Voicesafe is now in bypass, to place the Voicesafe in pass through mode simply flick this switch back to its original position. The status of the Voicesafe will also be indicated on the rear of the unit with either red flashing lights or solid green on the ISDN ports.
